EWA OKPO DROPS ANOTHER VERSE: AMARANTHINE AFFAIR

Amaranthine Affair

I will never forgive you till I die
I will hate you with all loves in my heart
I curse my heart for ever lodging you
Let rapture come and go my hate remains

I believed our knots were a must to tie
Wore my feelings for you like gown and hat
That the world may know you as my life's boo
But now you're gone and here lies my remains

Your love is lacquered of the deepest dye
I forgot, a gazelle can't mate a hart
So you served me a venison of loo
To sup, and fall to join yore roaming manes

And if perchance another life I gain
Siren, my dearest, you I'd love again!

[culled from EWALOGUES: a pictured anthology- collection of poems with pictures reflecting the poet's moods, tones, themes and messages. To hit the shelves in 2016]
